FCA Endurance Central PA: November 2010

WELCOME

THE CENTRAL PA ENDURANCE HUDDLE, a community ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a group of competitive AND recreational runners, cyclists, triathletes, etc... in ALL ranges of abilities. We are located in and around the Central PA area and our purpose is to go out and share the message of Jesus Christ with other endurance athletes.

We are not a running or cycling club, but rather a group of Christians that share a passion for endurance activities and want to share the Good News with others in the endurance community.

There are so many lost sheep out there and while it would be great to minister to everyone, FCA Endurance provides a way to minister to a particular group that shares the same interests as the members of this huddle. Imagine... wouldn't it great if the endurance athletes that we reach out to go back to their other friends and families. In that instance, we will be affecting others as well!!!

In addition to meeting and fellowshipping with each other, training together, and training with others, the members of the huddle will attend races wearing the colors; either competing or volunteering.

We would love to meet you and pray that you would become part of the huddle and FCA Endurance. More importantly, we pray that your relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, becomes greater in your life and that you have an opportunity to share it with others.

Please continue to visit the blog for general updates about the huddle, meeting schedules, training runs/rides, and where the huddle members might be racing or volunteering.

I pray that others will become a member and help impact the world for Jesus Christ!

Central PA Huddle at HBG Marathon

This past Sunday, the huddle did have a presence at the Hbg marathon - volunteering AND teammate Shelley Billings did compete. She did great!!! Congratulations on a great race Shelley!

Things Are Happening :-)

Last Monday (10/25), we had the huddle's first meet and greet. There were six people there including myself. Thanks everyone! It was great to meet everyone. Two people "officially" joined the huddle, so now it's more than just me in the huddle. :-)

A lot of great ideas came out of us meeting and I'm going to start following up on those things. These "ideas" surrounded the next steps for the huddle.

The first event for which the huddle is going to make a presence is the Harrisburg Marathon. It's on November 14, 2010. While it would be great to have a table set up, it might just be that those who are there will be volunteering. More on this in the coming days.

I did come up with a prototype of the banner that the Central PA huddle can use. Let me know what you think. This will be 3ft x 6 ft.

I also just ordered some huddle business cards and some magnets. This is what they both look like. Let me know if you need any cards or you want a magnet.
